Through the years Matt and I have worked on many projects together. Matt has been pivotal in the shaping of our restaurants and brand. He is responsible for taking crazy design ideas from two lifelong friends, (who disagree on everything!), making them realistic yet outstanding, and bringing the whole thing to life in well functioning restaurants. Philosophia was our first business and he was able to transform a 25 year old hibachi restaurant into our Greek oasis while keeping the project well within our budget. We raised the stakes with our second restaurant, Taverna. It was to be double the size, contain a massive custom raw bar, elegant bathrooms, full kitchen remodel, 50' bar, and of course thousands of clay pots hanging from the ceiling; Matt partnered with us, took our dream and made it a reality that receives compliments on a daily basis.

I have never worked with anyone, let alone a General Contractor, that attacks each day with more positivity, flexibility, and eagerness than Matt. Evidence of his wealth of knowledge and experience shows in his work as he is the first contractor I have ever worked with that can personally perform the trades of all his subcontractors with precision.

Lastly and certainly not least is Matt has an integrity that you just don't find anymore, and continues to be a voice of reason, advice and a sounding board for me on construction, business, and just about anything else!
